ProDecs is a probabilistic investment-decision platform for energy projects. Instead of a single forecasted NPV, it gives you the full distribution of outcomes, so you can see the probability of a positive result, the size of the downside, and the value of the flexibility built into a project. It was built for the people who own the high-stakes investment calls across the energy sector.
A static spreadsheet returns one number. ProDecs runs a Monte Carlo simulation, 10,000 trials by default, across your price, cost, and production uncertainties at once, and returns NPV, IRR, and breakeven as full P10, P50, and P90 distributions. It also prices the flexibility a fixed plan cannot see, like the option to delay, expand, mothball, or abandon.
Energy developments worldwide — power generation, offshore wind, and carbon capture and storage, as well as oil and gas fields, subsea tie-backs, and electrification. You can analyse a single asset or roll many projects into a portfolio with shared price decks and cross-asset correlations.
The core inputs are production profiles (or reserves and a recovery rate), price assumptions, costs for CAPEX, OPEX and abandonment, a tax regime, a discount rate, and your ownership share. You can enter these directly, import an existing Excel model using the ProDecs or other industry templates, or build projects straight from built-in public energy datasets.
Probabilistic NPV, IRR, breakeven price, profitability index, payback time, and peak capital exposure, alongside fan charts, cash-flow waterfalls, tornado and stress-test sensitivities, and two-variable heatmaps. Every result can be viewed before or after tax, in nominal or real terms, and exported to a branded PDF report.
