This notice describes how ProDecs AS, a Norwegian company registered at Dybdahls veg 1, 7051 Trondheim (org. 934 242 475 MVA), handles personal information collected through this website. ProDecs AS is the data controller for the processing described below. Questions go to info@prodecs.no.
What we collect
We collect personal information only when you submit it to us. That means the fields on the contact form on this site: first name, last name, work email, company, and the contents of the message field. We do not run cookies for analytics, advertising, or behavioural tracking. Server logs are kept for short retention windows for security and rate-limiting purposes only, and contain only standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp).
Why we collect it
We use the contact-form data for one purpose: to reply to the message you sent. Specifically, that means routing the message to the relevant person on the team, replying via email, and following up about the conversation you initiated.
The lawful basis for this processing under GDPR Art. 6(1) is your consent, given by submitting the form. The lawful basis for retaining server logs is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and operational under Art. 6(1)(f).
Who sees it
Within ProDecs, only the team members who would handle your request directly. We do not share contact-form data with advertising partners, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes. We use a small number of operational sub-processors to deliver the service: an email provider for replying to you, a hosting provider for serving the site. They process data on our behalf under contractual data-processing terms.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are retained for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) so we can pick up a previous thread if you return. After that we delete or anonymise the record. Server logs are retained for at most 30 days unless extended for active security investigation.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
- ask us to delete your data, where we have no overriding lawful reason to keep it;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- object to processing or request restriction;
- lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last reviewed" date at the top of this page. If you have an open conversation with us, we'll flag substantive changes by email.
